A Scottish drainage expert has stepped in to save a North Lanarkshire nursery project.
The expansion of the Heathery Family Learning Centre set to provide early years education for up to 1140 children was under threat due to continuous water discharge.
In September last year councillors were told there was a serious possibility that the plans could not go ahead.
But Frank O’Donnell and his team stepped in with a surface water solution and begins work on the beleaguered site on Monday.
Frank said: “I am absolutely delighted to be able to help such a worthy project.
“Only last year this build looked dead in the water but we found the right solution and as a result more than 1000 wee ones will receive the huge benefits of early years education.”
